Dear Siew,

I am wondering where is the sources I have to refer for expatriates matter?
Do we have to refer Industrial Act for foreign worker-do they similar? I am not to double standard, just curious.

I want to know do the regulations deduction implies on them, as well, do they benefited (leave, maternity leave) the same as local staffs.

Does the terms and condition changes if there are hired by part time?

Please help.

Many thanks.

If you were to read the Employment Act 1955 or the Industrial Relations Act 1967, you will not find anything to say that the Acts apply only to the Malaysian citizens. The Acts apply to all, local and foreign employed in the country. For part-time employees, you have the Employment(part-time employees)Regulations 2010. All these pieces of law can be found in this web site and in some earlier postings.
