Calculation for unpaid leave

How do i calculate salary for probation staffs who taking unpaid leave?

1. Example,

      Office working day - Mon - Sat

      Staff start working - 01.03.2012

     Taking unpaid leave - 17.03.12 (sat) - 25.03.12 (Sun), back to working on 26.03.12 (Mon)

     Formula: (days working/ days of the month) x salary - correct me if i am wrong.


1. Days working included sunday? and count for unpaid leave also included Sunday?

2. Is this formula can use for permanent staff who taking unpaid leave?

3.  EPF & SOCSO is based on the salary going to pay?

What you should do is to have a clear written policy on how to deal with no pay leave. With a clear policy, stick to it,  you will not have such doubts. The is no formula provided by law to deal with staff taking no pay leave.
