Dear Siew,

Have employed a part-timer to work 2 days a week, working hrs 9.00am to 5.00pm. How do we calculate over-time pay if she works extra 1 day in a month? For example, in the month of March, there are 31 days and she works every Tuesdays and Thursdays.  In that month, she works 10 days for 5 weeks. If her pay is RM800.00,  how do we calculate over-time pay for her if she works 1 day extra in that month? Do we take RM800.00 and divide by 10 days? Or do we take her pay and divide by 8 days? What happens if she works in the month of April which has 4 weeks and she works 8 days, if she work 1 day extra in that month, how to calculate her over-time pay? Kindly reply soon.

Since you care to ask, I think I have to say something, right or wrong. Divide by the total number of Tuesday and Thursday in that particular month where an extra day's work was carried out.
