 Dear all,

I have tendered 24hours resignation notice to my previous employer during my probation period. But today I received a letter from HR stating that I have to pay indemnity for unserved notice of 1 month@1 month salary. My contract with them regarding notice of termination is per below :

"Notice of termination shall be one month by either party during probation period. Upon confirmation, the notice of termination shall be three (3) months for either party or three months salary in lieu of notice. However, if notice has already been served, the indemnity in lieu of notice shall be for the unexpired notice period."

From what I understand, resignation during probation period doesn't involved any salary payment instead of notice, right? Clearly indemnity concerns only upon confirmation, right? Need help!
