My question is : if i wana terminate my staff with immediate effect, do i need to compensate him?

My reason to terminate him is he's slow in doing work, his work is not up to date,  he always do things wrongly n  i need to do his work for him, after checking his work there's a lot of mistakes n i need to redo n wasting my time. my opinion is he is not suitable with this job. He's been working for 6 mths.

What can i do to terminate him without any compensation involve?
