i am working as a lecturer in one of the most renown private college in Malaysia. I've been working for 2 years already, but the thing is , those who would like to resign must at least give 6 months of notice or otherwise have to pay in lieu 6 months salary. it is really irrelevant to wait that long. So, I really need to know is there any law regarding this?

If you don't agree to such a condition, don't sign the contract in the first place. If you signed, you would have to abide by it.
